Tis the Season… A Message from Vince Tinnirello

The holidays are my absolute favorite time of year for several reasons...

First and foremost, people are just nicer to each other. While it shouldn’t take a holiday, it’s nice to see that whether it’s family, friends, coworkers, clients, vendors, or just someone you pass on the street, people treat each other with a little more grace and kindness this time of year.

Exciting Changes & Service Delivery Improvement Efforts

At Anchor we are always looking for ways to improve our service delivery. Throughout the second half of the year we’ve undergone some changes and set big goals for ourselves as we finish out 2015. On the Service Desk, we’ve created a Rapid Response Technician role that we are hiring for currently.

Warm Welcome to Rick & Corey!

Rick Roundy comes to Anchor Network Solutions with over 25 years of experience in technology. He began as a technician for the NYNEX Business Centers, Computerland and US West MRG before moving on to enterprise networking at Cabletron Systems and Copper Mountain Networks.

A Heartfelt Farewell to Jacee!

After 11 years with Anchor, Jacee Dobbs will be moving on to take a position as CIO in the hospital in her home town of Colby, Kansas. This opportunity quite literally found Jacee rather than the other way around, and it was one that is just too good for her to pass up.

Welcome Steven Cole, our newest Server and Network engineer

Here is a little more about Steven and his family. Please join us in welcoming him to the Anchor family and if you see him in your office, be sure to say hello!

My wife of 12 years and I decided a few years ago that we wanted a change from snowless Christmases and mosquitos that bleed us dry so in June of 2014 I came out here ahead of the family to find a place to live and new job.

Summertime Means Vacation!

The arrival of summer and school being out means it’s time for vacation! Here’s what some of our staff have been up to:

Corey Pottratz

Autumn, Khloe, and I went to Missouri in June for a wedding, Khloe’s Birthday, and to see family.

Microsoft Announces Windows 10 as the Last Version of Windows

Last week Microsoft announced that its upcoming version of Windows-Windows 10, will be the last version of Windows made. Is Windows going away? Not at all. Microsoft is shifting its model to delivering the operating system as a service. While it may sound different, if you own an Apple iPhone or iPad, you are already familiar with how this works.
