EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT
JASON ALLISON
Let’s spotlight one of our Network Administrators for a change, and I’ll start with Jason Allison! Jason has been with Anchor 5 years on September 1st. He started on Service Desk, moved up to Infrastructure Response and now he’s a Net Admin with emphasis on infrastructure response. Clearly Anchor recognizes and values Jason’s talents!
Considering his 5 year tenure I was anxious to hear why Jason likes working at Anchor, and his answer was as expected. He appreciates the flexibility as well as the feeling of part ownership and family. He takes our core value “empowered to do the right thing” seriously and knows that if he makes a decision for the good of both our client and Anchor, he will have support from his anchor family. Jason added, “voices matter here.”
When asked about his personal home life he replied in his very dry manner, “I live at home with my three motorcycles and several computers.” When I was done laughing, I pulled out of him that his hobbies are winter sports such as snowboarding in Vail and camping. It’s a well-known fact around our office that he loves music and often attends festivals and concerts. He also said, “movies by myself are awesome!”.
HERE IS SOME Q & A FUN WITH JASON:
Q: What is your favorite meal?
A: My Mom’s meatloaf. It’s basic but it’s the best. You can’t get too fancy…crappy meat, onions, seasonings and ketchup on top.
Q: Tell us something we don’t know about you!
A: I was born in Sydney, Australia and lived there until I was 2 years old!
Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: Wayne’s World
Q: What is your favorite animal?
A: Koala. They’re so cute AND deadly.
Q: What is the best concert you’ve ever seen?
A: That’s hard. I guess it would be Seven Lions at Red Rocks.
Q: Do you have a favorite vacation spot?
A: Lake Powell. We jet ski, fish and explore the canyons. I like to sleep on top of the houseboat. I did go to China for 2 weeks to attend a wedding. Beijing was great. A crazy place, I can only describe it as chaotic harmony.
Q: If you could do another job for a day, what would it be?
A: A truck driver…big rigs seem fun.
Q: How would you spend a million dollars?
A: I would buy perfect condition original 80’s cars, you know, like Honda Civics, Toyota Corollas and classic 60’s cars like a Mustang. I would have a computer in every room. Oh, and I would pay off all of my family’s debts and then I would travel and go visit those people.
