Last week Microsoft announced that its upcoming version of Windows-Windows 10, will be the last version of Windows made. Is Windows going away? Not at all. Microsoft is shifting its model to delivering the operating system as a service. While it may sound different, if you own an Apple iPhone or iPad, you are already familiar with how this works.

As IT managed service providers, we’re always looking for ways to differentiate ourselves and provide value to our clients. How can we deliver more services to them? One of my favorite “subtle” ways for Anchor to provide value to our clients is by including what we call a “lifeboat” server (not to be confused with Lifeboat Distribution) as part of our service offering.
