RAY JOHNSON
Ray joined Anchor in March of 2020, a day or two before lockdown, as Project Coordinator. I recall when I was entering his data into our systems, I asked if ‘Ray’ is his full name and he wrote back that I could call him "Ray Sunshine" if I wanted, so that became our inside joke, and I knew immediately I would enjoy working with him!
When I asked Ray why he likes working at Anchor he replied, “I like the people first of all and I like the job.” I asked him to elaborate on what he likes about his job and he said, “it gives me the opportunity to exercise my organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.”
When he is not at work, Ray enjoys playing racquetball 2-3 times a week! He also enjoys reading and currently focuses on personal and professional development books. Ray grew up in Southern California and spent most of his adult life in Orange County until he moved to Colorado 12 years ago. When I asked if he has any pets at home, he let me know he does not have pets but “I have an Aloe Vera plant and I’ve kept it alive for over 2 years!” His sincerity regarding that accomplishment was quite apparent to me!
